The Future Looks Like You!

What Is
Beard Transplant

Beard thinning, the lack of beard in some parts of the face, or the total loss of beard on the face altogether is a disorder that occurs fairly often in males. The overwhelming majority of males feel uneasy in this setting. Scarring from a burn or an accident, which may have been the source of the condition in the first place, prevents the growth of a beard or moustache in that location, even if the underlying reason is often hereditary. Beard planting is the sole therapy option available in this particular scenario.

How Is Beard And Moustache Transplant Performed?

While hair follicles taken from the nape of the neck are generally used for beard or moustache transplantation, hair can also be transferred from other parts of the body. The common technique used in beard or moustache transplantation is the FUE technique as in hair transplantation. With this technique, hair follicles are taken one by one with a micro punch from the nape of the neck and placed in a special solution to preserve their vitality, and these hair follicles are quickly placed at an angle of 20-25 degrees in the channels opened with 0.7-0.8 mm needles in the area to be transplanted on the face. The procedure takes 2-4 hours depending on the size of the area to be transplanted for the average beard, this time is much shorter for the moustache.

How long does it take to grow a beard after a beard transplant?
As is the case with hair transplantation, the transplanted beard and mustache fall out after one month, and then between three and six months later, the transplanted beards begin to thicken and mature.

How Does Beard Transplant Work?

It is common practice to take hair follicles from the back of the neck in order to develop a beard or mustache; however, it is possible to utilize hair from other places of the body as well. The FUE method, which is also used for hair transplantation, is the one that is most often utilized for transplanting mustaches and beards. These hair follicles are then quickly placed at an angle of 20-25 degrees in the channels opened with needles measuring 0.7-0.8 mm in the region of the face that will be receiving the transplanted hair. The hair follicles are removed one by one from the nape of the neck using a micro punch and then placed in a special solution to preserve their vitality. The operation for a typical beard may take anywhere from two to four hours, depending on the amount of the region that has to be transplanted; however, the mustache transplant takes substantially less time.

Having a beard is a great way to enhance your appearance, but many men are not blessed with a full and thick beard. This can be frustrating, but fortunately, there is a solution: a beard transplant. A beard transplant is a type of hair transplant that uses hair follicles from other areas of the body to fill in bald or thin patches in the beard. While a beard transplant can be a great way to improve your appearance, there are some risks that you should be aware of before undergoing the procedure.

The answer to this question depends on the type of beard transplant you choose. A traditional beard transplant involves harvesting individual follicular units from the back of the head and transplanting them into areas of the face where hair growth is sparse. This procedure can take anywhere between three and five hours to complete. After the procedure, there will be some swelling, redness, and tenderness in the area which may last up to a week.
The other type of beard transplant is a follicular unit extraction (FUE). This procedure involves harvesting individual follicular units from the back of the head and transplanting them into areas of the face where hair growth is sparse. This procedure is less invasive than the traditional beard transplant, and the recovery time is usually much shorter. Most men can expect to see some swelling, redness, and tenderness in the area for up to a few days after the procedure.

The answer to this question depends on a few factors. The first is the quality of the hair follicles used in the transplant. The better the quality of the follicles, the more likely they are to remain in place over time. Additionally, the method used to implant the follicles will also affect the longevity of the beard transplant.
